Where to find Creative Commons images?

When using images with students it’s important to recognise image rights as early as possible. Finding images and downloading them is all too easy to do inappropriately and the fact that images belong to people is an important aspect of being digitally or media literate. As a photographer who has had images taken without permission I ensure that students learn the correct way to find images and understand the associated rights and wrongs. There are a great deal of quality photography that have been made available with a creative commons license but the usual google custom search often doesn’t find them.

I’ve included four sites which I recommend to the students I work with which are usually collated in a folder and kept for reference on their google chrome bookmarks bar.
